Our
adult program utilizes an integrated approach to traditional martial
arts training. Members build their knowledge base through the practice
of forms (Hyung) and their applications, realistic self defense
techniques utilizing joint locks, prearranged one step sparring
drills, free form sparring drills, bag training, and free
fighting.

They are taught to
incorporate the practice of each of these disciplines into a total
martial system that equips them with the confidence, ability and
mental preparedness to defend themselves in the terrible event that
they are called upon to do so.
We also recognize that many adults are seeking
a form of exercise that is mentally stimulating. In this regard the martial arts
have no parallel. Every movement requires the coordinated use of the
entire body which constantly conditions, tones and strengthens muscle
while increasing flexibility. It is not uncommon within a few months of training to be
able to bend lower and kick higher, all while losing weight and
developing skills that could one day save your life.
Complimentary to the physical aspect of our
training members also practice breathing exercises (chi gung)
designed to energize and cleanse the body while cultivating martial
force.
